Jdg 21:21 And see, and, behold, if the daughters of Shiloh come out to dance in dances, then come ye out of the vineyards, and catch you every man his wife of the daughters of Shiloh, and go to the land of Benjamin. Psa 149:3 Let them praise his name in the dance: let them sing praises unto him with the timbrel and harp. Psa 150:4 Praise him with the timbrel and dance: praise him with stringed instruments and organs. Ecc 3:4 A time to weep, and a time to laugh; a time to mourn, and a time to dance; Jer 31:13 Then shall the virgin rejoice in the dance, both young men and old together: for I will turn their mourning into joy, and will comfort them, and make them rejoice from their sorrow. We are commanded to dance before the lord in singing and dance. David danced with all his might. “2Sa 6:13 And it was [so], that when they that bare the ark of the LORD had gone six paces, he sacrificed oxen and fatlings. Did David do any thing indecent to deserve scorn? While it is true that David was girded up with a linen Ephod. This was not his only garment. David became humble before the Lord, divested of royal robes and Mical spoke against him and held him in contempt for dancing as a common man and without royal robes.. One should not presume to speak against the Lord's anointed, like Dathan who rose up against Moses leadership and was consumed by the ground. In this case Mical lay claim to David being indecent in his joyous dancing before they Lord. Her pride left her barren till the day she died. "He has shone you oh man what is good and what the Lord requires of you, to do justice and to love mercy and to walk humbly with your God." Fancy foot work and flowing arms define Davidic dance. Davidic dance is the outward pouring of the praises of God's people.
